MOHURD released the Guiding Opinions on Promotion of Reduction of Construction Waste

On May 15^th, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China (MOHURD) released the Guiding Opinions on Promotion of Reduction of Construction Waste. The main objectives are: by the end of 2020, the reduction mechanism of construction waste in various regions will be initially established. By the end of 2025, the reduction mechanism of construction waste in various regions will be further improved, the amount of construction waste (excluding construction waste residue and mud) on the construction site of newly-built buildings shall not exceed 300 tons per 10,000 square meters. The amount of construction waste (excluding construction waste residue and mud) on the construction site of prefabricated buildings shall not exceed 200 tons per 10,000 square meters.
