The 12th China-Japan Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Comprehensive Forum Held in Beijing

On November 25, 2018, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Commerce, China, jointly with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan and the Japan-China Economic Association, held the 12th China-Japan Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Comprehensive Forum in Beijing. The forum brought together He Lifeng, Chairman of National Development and Reform CommissionNDRC, Mr. Zhang Yong, Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform CommissionNDRC,Mr. Qian Keming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce as well as Mr. Hiroshige Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan, Mr. Shoji Muneoka, Chairman of the Japan-China Economic Association, and other officials from the Japanese side.

The China-Japan Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Comprehensive Forum is a comprehensive forum approved by the State Council. It has been successfully held for 12 years since 2006. It has established an important cooperation platform for enterprises, research institutions and government departments in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection. This forum attracted about 800 participants from China and Japan. Participants exchanged discussion on the construction of energy-saving technology innovation system, circular economy, automotive electrification intelligent, clean coal technology and thermal power generation, Sino-Japanese long-term trade and other issues. The two sides signed a total of 24 cooperation projects involving energy conservation and new energy development, pollution prevention, circular economy, climate change, smart city, third-party market and other fields.
